This Mermaid Retreat will give you a chance to remember and connect with your inner child. During this unique experience you have the opportunity to set fear aside and act from faith and joy. Special training workshops for mermaid swimming, modelling and posing in front of the underwater camera await you here. You will also learn special relaxation and breathing techniques that allow you to hold your breath longer. Connect with the healing power of the water and the breath.

Furthermore, you will experience a completely new body feeling during this Merfolk Retreat. Learn how to embody your emotions physically through the mermaid dance and the connection with the underwater world.

The unique underwater world at Phi Phi Island offers breathtaking scenery for your underwater mermaid photo shoots. You can also spend time with other water enthusiasts and make new friends through the varied experiences. In addition to the ultimate adventures, there is of course also enough time to relax. Options:

Option 1 (One free week in Phuket and Mermaid Week on Phi Phi Island): We spend the first week in Phuket. You can already get to know other participants and our team here and organise your week just as you like. No activities are included in the first week. We spend the second week together on Phi Phi Island for Mermaid Week. The trip includes a total of 14 days, 20th April – 04th May 2024.

Option 2 (One week in Phuket with activities and Mermaid Week on Phi Phi Island): We spend the first week in Phuket. Here you can already get to know other participants and our team and take part in some planned activities (see below). We spend the second week together on Phi Phi Island for Mermaid Week. The trip includes a total of 14 days, 20th April – 04th May 2024.

Option 3 (Mermaid Week only): You only take part in Mermaid Week on Phi Phi. The trip includes a total of 7 days, 27th April – 04th May 2024.

Second Week (27th April – 04th May 2024): Zeavola Resort & Spa, Phi Phi Island

 

Price:

Option 1: 3,199 EUR. This offer includes a free week on Phuket and Mermaid Week on Phi Phi. The trip includes a total of 14 days.

Option 2: 3,699 EUR. This offer includes a week on Phuket including the activities below and Mermaid Week on Phi Phi. The trip includes a total of 14 days.

Option 3: 2,899 EUR. This offer includes the Mermaid Week on Phi Phi only. The trip includes a total of 7 days.

Accompanying persons who do not take part in courses, photo shoots and our other activities receive a discount of 10% on the stated prices.

A deposit of 20% is due immediately after booking. The course fee of 1,000 EUR is due 90 days before the start of the trip (this will not be refunded in the event of cancellation by you). The balance is due 30 days prior to departure.

For whom is the Mermaid Retreat suitable?

Basically everyone is welcome to our Mermaid Retreat who has a passion for the underwater world and wants to gain new experiences. We want to create a place where like-minded water enthusiasts can connect, learn and go home with their hearts filled with love and memories that will last a life time. Additionally, you will receive stunning photos, videos and underwater content.

To take part in this Mermaid Retreat you must be able to swim well and confidently. In addition, we recommend general basic fitness, because swimming in mermaid tails can be exhausting. However, no freediving, scuba diving or modelling experiences are required.

No matter if you are just beginning your underwater adventure or if you are a professional, nobody misses out at our Mermaid Retreat. Our team consists of trained lifeguards and rescue divers. Accordingly, sufficient security is always provided, no matter how high your personal experience level is.

Since we firmly believe that mermaids and mermen come in all sizes, shapes, colours, ages and genders, there are no visual criteria to meet. However, participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

 

 

Photo Shoots at our Mermaid Retreat Thailand 2024

In addition to having fun, connecting with nature, learning and sharing experiences – photo shoots are of course also the focus of this Mermaid Retreat. Let’s create a unique underwater content portfolio with breathtaking underwater images. To achieve this, our experienced team is always by your side. Throughout the week, you’ll get support on mermaiding, embodiment and breath-work. We know how to accompany mermaids and mermen of all levels of experience. Because of this, we are certain, that we will create magical content together.

After the retreat, you can choose your 10 included photos (and more if you want to purchase additional ones). Shortly afterwards you will receive the fully edited and high-resolution version of your underwater photos. You can then use these photos for private use and for self-promotion, for example on social media or on your websites. Please note that a model release must be signed so that we can also use the images.

If you would like to have an individual video of yourself in addition to the general video of the trip, you can choose between different packages. Do I need Travel Insurance for this Mermaid Retreat?

We strongly recommend that you take out insurance for this Mermaid Retreat and Mermaid School. Please note that you must also sign a liability release before you can participate in our activities.

 

 

 

 

Which Team accompanies this Mermaid Retreat?

We have been organising international Mermaid Weeks and Underwater Modelling Retreats since 2013. Accordingly, we have quite a bit of experience in the field of underwater modelling, mermaiding and underwater photography. Our entire team has won various prizes and awards over the years. So to speak, you get to work on site with the “Crème de la Crème” in this field. It is not yet certain which photographers will accompany this journey. Here we introduce you to the whole team:

 

Mermaid Kat, Founder and Underwater Stunt Woman

Mermaid Kat, the founder of Mermaid Weeks, has been working as a professional mermaid since 2012. She is a trained scuba diving instructor, free diving instructor and mermaid trainer. Kat is a world acclaimed underwater model, known for her unique underwater content of swimming with sea creatures such as whales, dolphins, sharks and crocodiles. She loves passing on her experiences to her participants and to observe their development during her workshops. Furthermore, Kat is a Dream Life Mentor with the mission to help men and women build an independent freedom based lifestyle they are in love with!

 

Video Team:

Jens and Melli Drygalla from “D Image Factory” accompany the events with the video camera, capturing all the moments of joy, healing and embodiment. They not only create the souvenir video of an unforgettable retreat, but also like to work with participants on individual video ideas. In addition, both are trained lifeguards and Melli also works as a mermaid trainer at Mermaid Kat Academy Germany. At the World Shootout 2023, Jens was in the finals in the “Underwater Video” category.

 

Underwater Photographers:

Konstantin Killer started underwater model photography in 2012. Together with Mermaid Kat, Konstantin offers the Underwater Modelling Workshop in Germany several times a year. He has been an underwater photographer at Mermaid Weeks in the Maldives, Egypt and Thailand. Konstantin and Mermaid Kat have worked together for various fashion magazines and have been repeatedly accompanied by television crews in Germany. Several times, Konstantin has won 1st place in the “Underwater Fashion” category at the World Shootout.

Ian Gray is not only Mermaid Kat’s husband, but also an award-winning underwater photographer. Among other things, he won 1st place at the International Diving Festival PAF 2023 in the category “Pool and Creative”. Ian loves working underwater with all kinds of people. Above all, he enjoys working with “newcomers” who are not yet very experienced in underwater modelling. His passion is to support his models with advice and action and to actively support them in developing more self-confidence and posing security.

Stephan Ernst started underwater photography in 2013. Since Stephan has been photographing since he was a child, it was a nice and, in the meantime, very formative addition to his portfolio. In 2017, Stephan became a Gold Medalist in the Underwater category at the prestigious “Trierenberg Ciruit”, the largest photographic art competition in the world (also often referred to as the “Photography Olympics”) with over 130,000 entries. Besides precision and technology, what matters most is the human being. Every little and big mermaid can feel safe and beautiful with him. He guides with calmness and understanding, and is happy to give valuable and easy-to-understand tips.

 

 

Can I bring my Partner or a Friend to this Mermaid Retreat?

Partners, friends and other companions are of course very welcome on our Mermaid Retreat and Mermaid School. They can either participate in all activities or just join those that interest them. Furthermore, both the dive center and the surrounding area have other activities to offer.

Accompanying persons certainly also have the opportunity to select 10 photos from the trip. However, they can also assign these to the participating person.

If an accompanying person is not interested in either our training sessions or photo shoots, they will receive a 10% discount on the total price.
